One session with Dr Ellis during one of his week-long institutes helped me learn to deal appropriately with anger. Also his “shame” exercise” proved to be one of the most effective tools he taught for learning to deal with public embarrassement. I THINK HE HAS BEEN TRULY INFLUENCIAL WORLD-WIDE. He brought hope in the short term for difficult emotional problems. Hats off to a different type of thinker who brought a new light to mental health. My life was changed greatly after knowing the ABC’s of Rational Emotive Therapy. Hiis theory is as valid as any other.
